Samsung has finally launched the QN990H in Europe. It is the companyâs only 8K TV for 2026. While it was unveiled at CES 2026 earlier this year, Samsung did not reveal its specifications or pricing at the time. So, how much does it cost?

Samsung QN990H TV pricing in Europe​


The 85-inch version of the QN990H is now available to order through Samsungâs websites in Germany and Switzerland for a whopping CHF 8,999 (approximately $11,401). In other European countries, it is reportedly priced at â¬9,999.

Its 98-inch version could launch in the near future. The QN990H is also expected to launch in the UK and the US soon.

The QN990H features an 8K-resolution VA LCD panel with Mini LED backlighting and a Glare Free coating. It supports HDR10, HDR10+, HDR10+ Advanced, HLG, and Auto HDR Remastering Pro. It offers up to a 120Hz variable refresh rate at 8K resolution and up to a 240Hz refresh rate at 4K resolution (DLG).

Its gaming features include Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, AI Auto Game Mode, AI Gaming Optimizer, Game Bar, HGiG, Mini Map Zoom, and Samsung Gaming Hub.

In terms of audio, it uses the best speaker setup ever seen on a Samsung TV. It has a 6.2.4-channel speaker system with 90W RMS output. It supports Dolby Atmos through its onboard speakers as well as audio passthrough.

Other audio features include Active Voice Amplifier Pro, Adaptive Sound Pro, AI Sound Controller Pro, Object Tracking Sound Pro, Wireless Q-Symphony, and 360 Audio.

The QN990H comes with a Wireless One Connect box, which features five HDMI 2.1 ports (supporting up to 8K 120Hz or 4K 240Hz), two USB Type-A ports, one USB Type-C port, one Ethernet port, one optical audio output, one RF port, and one CI+ slot.

It also features Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Smart View, and Multi View. It has a built-in SmartThings Hub to control Matter, SmartThings, and Zigbee-based smart home devices.

The TV uses the NQ8 AI Gen3 processor and runs One UI Tizen based on the Tizen 10 operating system. Samsung is promising seven years of software updates from the launch date.

It supports Alexa and Bixby, and it can be set up and controlled using the SmartThings app. It can also be controlled using Google Home.

It includes Art Store, Daily+, Daily Board, Now Brief, and Samsung TV Plus. Its AI-powered features include AI Motion Enhancer Pro, AI Picture, AI Football/Soccer Mode Pro, Generative Wallpaper, Live Translate, Vision AI Companion, and 8K AI Upscaling Pro.

The QN990H features Samsungâs Infinity Air design with an Infinity Air Stand. It has a 600 x 400 VESA mount for first-party or third-party mounts and stands. It is compatible with the Full Motion Slim Wall Mount, SlimFit Cam, and Slim Fit Wall Mount.
