Samsung is expected to roll out the stable version of One UI 8 to older devices starting this month. Ahead of the big software update release, the company may have revealed its plans to bring one of the biggest One UI 8.0 features to older Galaxy devices: Quick Share.
The new version of Quick Share, which was introduced with Android 16-based One UI 8.0 software, has been uploaded on the Galaxy Store with version number 13.8.01.11. It means Samsung is almost ready to release the new Quick Share to devices that are not running One UI 8.0. However, we aren't able to see this update on the Galaxy Store on our devices like the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 that are currently running One UI 7.0.
The release of this new Quick Share update could be gradual, so not everyone would get the update at the same time.

As you can see in the screenshot above, the new version of Quick Share has a completely new UI with two separate tabs: Receive and Send. Google has also adopted this new UI for Quick Share on stock Android 16. The official changelog is pasted below.
Provides a receiving mode in Quick Share for quick and easy file transfers
The Send tab makes it easier to select and send files to compatible devices nearby. If you don't know it already, Samsung and Google merged their native file sending features, Quick Share and Nearby Share, into Quick Share. So, all Android devices now feature Quick Share compatibility for sending and receiving files.
When something goes wrong when you are sending files or if you cancel the sharing in the middle of the process, Quick Share will only share the remaining files when you retry sending them. This new version of Quick Share increases the character limit for device names. It is also integrated with Samsung's new Nearby Devices UI.
