Samsung has released the third beta version of One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) for the Galaxy S24 FE. At the moment, the brand is rolling it out in Korea. Carrying firmware version S721NKSUBZZDP, it brings five changes (via Tarun Vats). You can check out the official changelog below (converted from Korean to English).
We expect Samsung to release it in other countries in the next few hours, or at most, in a day or two. To check if the brand has made it available in your region, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
On a related note, Samsung has started the development of One UI 9.0. Based on Android 17, it brings UI design changes and new features. We managed to get our hands on it, and you can check out our experience with it in the video below.
- Improved the issue where the incoming call screen loads slowly or a black screen appears when receiving a call in certain conditions.
- Improved proximity release errors during calls
- Improved the issue where green lines appeared when recording videos in 4K HDR with certain app cameras.
- Improved Bluetooth crash issues
- Improvement of multi-touch malfunctions after using the accessibility expansion feature
