Samsung has been selling foldable phones for over half a decade now while Apple hasn't even entered the segment yet. That's as good a reason as any for the company to dunk on its biggest competitor as it releases new ads across various platforms to promote its latest foldable phones.
There was a time when Samsung used to diss Apple quite heavily in its social media ads and TV commercials. Those were scaled back a bit in recent years but the company is back to having some fun at Apple's expense again.
Samsung has posted a new ad for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 across its social media profiles. One of the very first scenes shows a Galaxy Z Fold 7 alongside an iPhone. It proceeds to highlight the AI-based image generation capabilities of the device, something that iPhone lags behind in.
Apple's difficulties with getting Apple Intelligence off the ground are well documented. It's now having to play catch up and the company may even be considering a partnership with Google to use Gemini models for its AI-enhanced Siri.
Samsung has made full use of Gemini to enhance Galaxy AI's capabilities for a couple of years now, so it's been ahead of Apple here as well. The second ad it's posted online promotes the Galaxy Z Flip 7 in a rather cheeky way with the message essentially being to make the iPhone your ex and move on with Samsung's foldables.
It's fun seeing Samsung's marketing department get its elbows out again, especially as the company gears up for Apple's potential entry in the foldable space by next year.
