Samsung is expanding Digital Key support in Samsung Wallet to select Toyota vehicles. Starting this January, the feature will be compatible with certain Toyota models.
The 2026 Toyota RAV4 will be the first Toyota vehicle to support Samsung Wallet’s Digital Key. Samsung says support will roll out to additional Toyota models later this year.
Digital Key functionality for Toyota vehicles will initially be available in select markets, including the US, Canada, and Mexico. Europe will follow later, aligning with the launch timeline of 2026 Toyota models.
As expected, Samsung’s Digital Key for Toyota vehicles meets EAL6+ certification standards. It supports both UWB and NFC, though Galaxy phones with UWB unlock more advanced features such as hands-free entry.
Digital Keys stored in Samsung Wallet can be shared with family members and trusted contacts, with access revocable at any time. If a device containing a Digital Key is lost or stolen, Samsung Find allows users to remotely lock or delete the key.
Samsung continues to expand Digital Key support across automakers. To name a few, last month, the company added Porsche vehicles, Rivian joined Samsung Wallet in December, and BYD support arrived earlier in 2025.
