About fifteen days ago, Samsung revealed the One UI 8.0 (Android 16) rollout schedule (Brazil, Korea, and India). According to it, the brand was supposed to offer the update first to new and high-end devices (from mid-September to early-October), and later, to old and entry-level devices (from mid-October and early November).

Samsung released One UI 8 to many devices before the time that it had promised. However, we had no idea that the brand would speed up the rollout so much that it would offer updates to devices scheduled to get it in late October, at the beginning of the month. The device in question is the Galaxy Wide 8, also known as Galaxy M16 5G.

Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 8 update to the Galaxy M16 5G in Korea (via Mohammed Khatri). It brings a new UI as well as many new features. You can check the complete list of changes here or watch them in action in our video below. The update carries firmware version A156LKSU6CYIA, as you can see in the screenshot below.

Usually, after releasing a major OS update in Korea, Samsung starts rolling it out in other parts of the world a week or two late. So, we expect the brand to offer the One UI 8 update to the Galaxy M16 5G in other regions by the end of this month. The One UI 8 rollout schedule for India also says that the device will get the update in October.
