Samsung has revealed that the One UI 9.0 beta for the Galaxy S26 series will go live in India and Poland on May 26.
Samsung announced the One UI 9 beta program for the US, the UK, Germany, Korea, India, and Poland on May 12, with the first beta update scheduled to roll out later this week.
However, as is tradition, the first phase of the beta program will only include the US, the UK, Germany, and Korea.
Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra owners in India and Poland will have to wait until the end of the month before they can participate in the testing process, as mentioned in the footnotes of Samsung's One UI 9 beta program press release (via Tarun Vats).
For those unaware, Samsung usually releases the first beta update in select countries. Once it is ready to roll out the second or third beta after gathering initial feedback, the company expands the program to other eligible markets.
It’s a long-established tradition, and Samsung isn’t ready to break from it just yet. Another tradition the company is sticking with is the limited availability of these betas.
While Apple and Google release iOS and Android betas in nearly every country where they sell their products, Samsung has limited One UI beta access to just six or seven markets ever since the first beta program launched in 2018.
Unfortunately, Samsung has also started limiting which devices get access to the beta during the first few months. The One UI 7 beta was exclusive to the Galaxy S24 series for the first three months, while the One UI 8.5 beta program remained limited to the Galaxy S25 lineup for nearly four months before Samsung expanded it to other devices.
The One UI 8 beta took two months to arrive on devices other than the Galaxy S25 series, and the One UI 9 beta program is likely to suffer a similar fate. However, in this instance, that may actually be a good thing, as Samsung only recently started rolling out the stable One UI 8.5 update.

Phased availability is nothing new for Samsung’s One UI beta programs
