According to multiple reports, Samsung will debut its next lineup of smartphones with foldable displays, which is expected to offer three devices, Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Wide), Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8, on July 22. With only a month to go, it looks like the brand has started getting the upcoming phones certified for the US.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has certified an unannounced Samsung smartphone with model number SM-F776U (via 91Mobiles). According to previous reports and the brandâs model number and naming convention for smartphones, this seems to be the carrier-locked variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 8 for the US.

As you can see in the image above, the listing mentions that the Galaxy Z Flip 8 has 5G, tri-band WiFi 6E/7, Bluetooth, GNSS, NFC, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. However, none of that is surprising as the Galaxy Z Flip 7 also comes with these features.

Previous leaks about the Galaxy Z Flip 8 reveal that the phone will have the same displays as its predecessor, a 4.1-inch OLED cover screen with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and a 6.9-inch OLED main display with a 120Hz refresh rate, with both of them featuring up to 2,600 nits brightness.

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to use the Exynos 2600 chipset globally and come with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The brand may ship it with One UI 9.0 (Android 17). Its battery capacity is said to be 4,300mAh and supports up to 25W wired and 15W Qi2 wireless charging.
