In August 2020, Samsung and Microsoft partnered to enable syncing between Samsung Notes and Microsoft OneNote, making it easier to access notes across apps and platforms from one place. Unfortunately, that integration will stop working soon.
On X, @kro_roe claimed that syncing between Samsung Notes and Microsoft OneNote will end in July 2026. To verify this, we checked whether the Samsung Notes and OneNote apps on our Galaxy S26 Ultra mentioned anything about it, and the news turned out to be true.

As soon as we opened Samsung Notes, it displayed a notification at the top saying, âAfter July, Samsung Notes will no longer support syncing with OneNote.â This means that starting in August, notes in Samsung Notes will no longer appear in Microsoft OneNote, and vice versa.
People who rely on this feature will be disappointed, especially those who use Samsung Notes on their Galaxy phone to create and access notes, and Microsoft OneNote on their Windows PC for the same purpose. Currently, thereâs no information on why Samsung and Microsoft are taking this step.
