Samsung has announced that it has enhanced the iconic 93-year-oled Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg racing track in Germany with its signage displays and TVs. The South Korean firm has been working on this renovation project for over two years, and it is finally complete.

The Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg racing track has hosted several high-profile races, including Formula 1, since its inception in 1932. Samsung's LCD-based signage (commercial) displays have been installed throughout the racing track's 97-hectare site. These displays are visible everywhere, including the Welcome Centre, VIP area, pit lane, and race control, and they are centrally managed by Samsung's MagicINFO Cloud digital signage software, which allows staff to easily create, schedule, and manage content using provided templates.

At the Welcome Centre, which spans across 360 square metres, Samsung has installed 18 LCD signage displays that showcase information about the circuit's history, events, and ticketing. All the shop windows have two double-sided 55-inch OMN-D series displays. The outside-facing display has high brightness levels so that people on the outside can clearly see what's on the screen, while the inside display has lower brightness to suit indoor conditions.

Samsung says it has installed giant 98-inch screens to greet guests at the entrance of the race track. The company has also installed its QMC series displays, featuring glare-free UHD panels, throughout the interiors of the racing site.

The Hockenheimring circuit draws over 700,000 guests each year, and Samsung will continue to provide next-generation screens to the iconic racing circuit in the future to enhance the experience of motorsport fans and visitors. Currently, the racing track hosts DTM, International GT Open, TCR Europe, and European Drag Racing Championship motorsport events.
