After releasing the first One UI 8.5 beta update for the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung is making progress on developing the One UI 8.5 update for more high-end phones. The company has started testing One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

A firmware with version S918BXXU8FYLB was spotted on Samsung's servers. Looking at the first four letters, it is clear that it is meant for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. And looking at the last four characters, it is evident that the firmware is based on One UI 8.5. Moreover, firmware versions ending with DYLB were also found for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 on Samsung's servers.

Samsung is expected to release the second beta version of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S25 in the four weeks of this month. After four to five beta releases, Samsung could release the stable update, which could line up with the launch of the Galaxy S26 series in February or March 2026.
