Last week, Samsung released the December 2025 security patch. The brand first offered it to the Galaxy S25 series, and now, the company is offering it to its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 lineup.

The update is currently live in Samsung’s home country, South Korea. It is 452.87MB in size and carries firmware version S928NKSS4CYL1 (via Tarun Vats). It fixes 57 security issues.

We expect Samsung to release the December 2025 security patch to the Galaxy S24 series phones in other regions in the next few days, which means that it could overlap with the One UI 8.5 beta program for the three devices.

To get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once Samsung makes the update available internationally, we will make the firmware available in our database for you to download and install manually.
