Samsung makes one of the most feature-rich and fast web browsers for Android smartphones and tablets. Recently, it added two new features to Samsung Internet with the latest beta update. One of those features is a new grid style for open web browser tabs.

Samsung Internet gets grid style layout to open browser tabs

The version 29.0.0.27 of the Samsung Internet Beta app added two new features: Auto Close Unused Tabs and Grid Layout. The grid layout is an addition to the existing list and stack layouts. The new layout strikes a good balance between speed and eye candy. It can display two tabs in each row, totaling six tabs in one screen.

The grid layout displays a decently-sized preview of each webpage, so you get a good idea as to which webpage that tab is related to. In comparison, the list style displays more tabs in one screen but gives only a miniscule-sized webpage preview, while the stack style offers grid-like preview size but focuses more style rather than speed.

Samsung Internet: How to view tabs as a grid?

To choose the new grid style for open web browser tabs in the Samsung Internet app, follow the steps listed below. You have to install the latest version of the Samsung Internet Beta app from the Galaxy Store or the Google Play Store, though.

Step 1: Open Tabs menu by clicking the button in the toolbar.
Step 2: Tap three dot button and select View as.
Step 3: Select Grid and tap the OK button on the bottom of the pop-up window.

This feature will come to the stable version of the Samsung Internet app, but it could take a few weeks for that to happen.
