While the Galaxy S25 FE and Galaxy Tab S11 Series are expected to launch next month, Samsung has today surprisingly announced the Galaxy Buds 3 FE, its latest pair of wireless earbuds.

Like all other Fan Edition products, the goal is to deliver the core features and functionality of Samsung’s flagship models at a more affordable price. The Galaxy Buds 3 FE follow this approach closely, adopting several features from the high-end Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. They come equipped with 11 mm dynamic drivers, with Samsung promising rich, powerful sound with deep bass and clear treble.

In terms of design, the Galaxy Buds 3 FE share many similarities with the Pro model but also introduce a few differences. Both feature an in-ear design with silicone tips that provide a secure fit while helping reduce unwanted noise. On top of that, the Buds 3 FE support active noise cancelling of up to 32 decibels. What sets them apart is their matte finish and the absence of the Pro model’s distinctive LED light strip on the stem. In hand, the matte texture feels premium and looks surprisingly sleek.

Battery life should be solid as well. Each earbud houses a 53 mAh battery, delivering up to 6 hours of playback with ANC enabled or up to 24 hours with the charging case included. With ANC off, Samsung says that usage extends to 8.5 hours per charge, and up to 30 hours with the case. Additional features include Bluetooth 5.4 with Auto Switch and an IP54 rating, making them suitable for workouts or use in the rain by protecting against light splashes and sweat.

Another highlight is Google Gemini integration. Beyond controlling playback, pairing the Buds 3 FE with a Galaxy smartphone unlocks advanced features such as sending messages, checking your calendar or emails, and even live translation through the Galaxy AI Interpreter app.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 FE will be available globally starting September 5 in Matte Black and Light Gray color options. Pricing is set at $149.99 in the US or €149 in Europe. In the US, you can also trade in any wired or wireless headset and receive up to $30 off your purchase.
