After multiple, long delays that happened with One UI 7.0, Samsung wants to make amends and release the One UI 8 update a lot sooner than previous years. The company has already been internally preparing the Android 16-based update, and it looks like the beta program for the new software could start very soon.
It lines up with our exclusive report about One UI 8 Beta Program launching as soon as this month.
Samsung has started sending a notice to the Beta Community in India, South Korea, and the USA via the Samsung Members app. It talks about how to participate in the upcoming One UI 8 Beta Program. It has also displayed a banner that will appear when the upcoming beta program actually starts.
You can see the notice in the screenshot below.

Once the One UI 8 Beta Program is live, people with eligible Galaxy phones who wish to beta-test the next One UI version need to install the Samsung Members app, sign into it using their Samsung Account (the one they are using on their device), and then tap the One UI 8 Beta Program banner on the top of the screen.
Once the registration is done, registered devices will get the One UI 8 beta update as soon as the update goes live. Read our article to know how to prepare your Galaxy device before installing a new One UI beta update.

Usually, Samsung's beta program lasts for multiple weeks and the company releases four or more beta releases before rolling out the stable update.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Flip FE, and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be the first devices to run the stable version of One UI 8.0. The update will arrive for the Galaxy S25 series in the beta form and get the stable update after a few months.
