It's unlikely for Samsung to start selling refurbished models of its current flagship phones. This normally happens when the new lineup is out, and Samsung can use its refurbished program to continue to push out last year's models.

Samsung has unexpectedly begun selling refurbished units of the Galaxy S25, S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra in the United States. The Galaxy S25 remains current until it's replaced by the Galaxy S26 series next year, but you can already pick them up cheaper if you're fine with a refurbished unit.

The refurbished units represent a solid deal

In addition to expanding the refurbished lineup with the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung is now also selling refurbished Galaxy Z Fold 6 units. This is more in line with the typical timing, as this device has already been replaced by the Galaxy Z Fold 7 for a few months now.

Prices for the refurbished Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra start at $709, $899, and $1,109 respectively. They're cheaper by up to $260 compared to buying new from Samsung. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 starts at $1,429 which is $370 cheaper than full retail.

All certified refurbished phones are checked inside and out by Samsung specialists. Every device gets a new 100% Samsung genuine battery and a new IMEI number. It's only after these units pass a rigorous 147 checkpoint quality test that they're put up for sale.

It's not a significant discount by any means, but still, it's a solid opportunity for customers to pick up Samsung's latest phones at a lower price while having the peace of mind that what they're buying will stand the test of time with them.
