Samsung’s brand value increased globally last year, but its overall brand ranking fell by two places compared to the previous year. This suggests that while the company grew in 2025, its growth lagged behind that of competing brands such as Nvidia and TikTok.
According to Brand Finance, a leading brand valuation consultancy, Samsung Group ranked eighth in brand value in 2025. Although the South Korean company’s brand value rose 8 percent, from $110 billion to $119 billion, its position slipped from sixth to eighth in the top ten rankings.

Apple remained the world’s most valuable brand at $607 billion, maintaining its top position from the previous year. Microsoft ($565 billion), Google ($433 billion), and Amazon ($369 billion), retained their second, third, and fourth-place rankings, respectively. Nvidia ($184 billion) and TikTok ($153 billion) ranked below Samsung in 2024 but recorded much stronger growth last year.
Earlier last year, Samsung Electronics faced significant challenges due to its inability to supply high-bandwidth memory chips to Nvidia. However, the company later passed a critical qualification test and began supplying HBM chips for Nvidia’s AI accelerators, which have been in massive demand over the past 3-4 years.
Samsung Group includes all of the company’s affiliates (business divisions), such as Samsung Electronics, Samsung SDI, Samsung Engineering, Samsung C&T Corporation, Samsung Heavy Industries, Cheil Worldwide, Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Securities, and Samsung Biologics.
