With the launch of One UI 8.0 earlier this year, Samsung's Weather app received a makeover, featuring new animations and graphics. The visual changes are lovely, but the app has been missing one feature since the One UI 8.0 upgrade: pollen index. Now, it's back.
Rumors and leaks had indicated that Samsung would bring back the pollen index feature in the Weather app through the upcoming One UI 8.5 update. But the good news is that the revamped pollen panel is already here, and it looks exactly as expected.
Samsung quietly reintroduced the pollen tracking feature with a recent update to the Weather app itself. Thanks to it, users can now track three pollen types: Tree, Grass, and Ragweed.
As with most UI elements in the Samsung Weather app, tapping the pollen panel launches a Weather Channel webpage, where users can get a more detailed breakdown of current pollen levels and a pollen forecast for the next two days.

So, there you have it. If you missed this feature, you don't have to wait for One UI 8.5 to get it back, which is great news.
And if you don't see the pollen panel inside your Samsung Weather app, make sure you have the latest app version installed.
As for the One UI 8.5 update, it is expected to go live early next year alongside the upcoming Galaxy S26 flagship phone series.
After the S26's debut, many other Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets will then receive the One UI 8.5 update gradually over the air. A One UI 8.5 beta program could go live in select markets this month.
