Samsung started rolling out One UI 8.0 (Android 16) to Galaxy smartphones and tablets on 15 September 2025. The brand first offered it to new and high-end devices, then to slightly older and more affordable phones, and a few days ago, the company started releasing it to entry-level phones. Now, exactly one month after starting the One UI 8 rollout, the brand is releasing it to the oldest and most affordable phones eligible for the update.
The devices in question are the Galaxy A06 5G and the Galaxy F17 5G. The One UI 8 update for the former carries firmware version A066BXXU3BYI8, and that for the latter carries firmware version E176BXXU2BYID (via Mohammed Khatri). Reportedly, the updates are live in India. Samsung may also be rolling it out in other regions as we speak. To get the update, go to Settings > Software Update > Download and install.
In the video below, we have demonstrated all the new features that One UI 8 offers over One UI 7.
While Samsung hasn’t completed rolling out One UI 8, it is on the verge of completing the development of One UI 8.5. Based on Android 16 QPR2, it brings many visual changes and new features. Fortunately, the Galaxy A06 5G and the Galaxy F17 5G are eligible to get the update.
