Previous reports about Samsung’s upcoming XR headset claimed that the brand will launch the product on 29 September 2025 and make it available to purchase on 13 October 2025. Well, today we have a new report about it, which says that the company has pushed the launch and the sale dates a little further.
According to ET News, Samsung will launch the brand’s first XR headset on 21 October 2025. It says that the company will reveal the product’s features on the same day, followed by making it available to purchase. Reportedly, the tech giant has delayed the launch for internal marketing strategy coordination and quality assurance.
Samsung is said to price the brand’s first XR headset at around KRW 2 million, which is lower than the price of the Apple Vision Pro but higher than the price of the Meta Quest 3. The company is said to have planned to ship around 100,000 units of the product initially, and based on the market response, adjust future shipments.
Previous reports about the product also claimed that Samsung will launch it alongside the brand’s first smartphone with a dual-folding display (more widely known as a tri-folding screen). However, the report from Korea says that the Galaxy TriFold will come at a later date, most likely by the end of October or in November.
ET News also says that Samsung will launch its first XR glasses, which it is developing in collaboration with Google, early next year. Note that Samsung's first XR headset will most likely be based on the brand's Project Mooohan, a prototype XR headset which it showcased in December 2024. You can read more about it here.
