Samsung will launch two book-style foldable phones in July. While the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will feature a triple-camera setup similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide will use a dual-camera setup on the rear. We now have more information about their camera specifications.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide will feature a primary wide-angle camera and an ultrawide camera on the rear. We have discovered that the primary camera will use an F1.8 aperture lens, while the ultrawide camera will feature an F1.9 aperture lens. Both likely have autofocus and 8K 30fps video recording.
The phone will also include two 10MP front-facing cameras, one on the cover display and another on the foldable inner display. If you want better selfies, you can use one of its rear cameras. According to GalaxyClub, both rear-facing cameras will have a resolution of 50MP.
Looking at the camera setup of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, we would not be surprised if Samsung prices it lower than the regular Galaxy Z Fold 8, which is expected to include a dedicated telephoto camera.
We have also discovered that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide's signature color will be Dark Green. It will come in other colors, of course.
Both upcoming foldable phones will likely use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, along with at least 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 could be powered by a 5,000mAh battery, while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide may come equipped with a slightly smaller 4,800mAh battery.
