It been a few months since the One UI 8 beta program was launched for the Galaxy S25 series. However, the Galaxy S25 Edge was excluded from the program, which led to speculation about a possible delay in the public release of the firmware for this model.
That may not be the case, though, as a new Galaxy S25 Edge One UI 8 leak suggests that the handset may receive the much-awaited update alongside all of the other models in the series next month.
Samsung recently released the fifth One UI 8 beta for the Galaxy S25 series. The program has been progressing nicely and it's only a matter of days before the stable update is sent out. The Galaxy S25 series is expected to get the stable One UI 8 update in September.
Since no One UI 8 beta was released for the Galaxy S25 Edge, there was some speculation as to whether the final release may be delayed for this device. However, as spotted on X, the latest build version BYH7 for the device has surfaced. It includes One UI 8 alongside the latest September 2025 security patch.
It's a sign that Samsung is getting things ready for this device internally even as it didn't put it through the beta program. Whether it gets the stable update alongside the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra on or about the same date remains to be seen.
Even if it doesn't get the update on the very same day, there's a good chance that we may see the device being updated to One UI 8 at some point in September as well.
