After parting ways with Bring Me The Horizon in late 2023, Jordan Fish has largely kept fans guessing about his next move. This week, fans finally got a glimpse of his next chapter — one that took him deep into Europe’s alt-pop scene and onto the stage with one of the Netherlands’ most talked-about artists.

On August 7, Fish performed an exclusive live set in Amsterdam alongside S10, who for this event temporarily rebranded herself as S25. The show, hosted by Samsung, marked both a symbolic artistic reinvention for the singer and the global launch of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series.

“This week I’m making my debut as S25! On August 7th, I’m playing an exclusive show with Jordan Fish at Noorderlicht in Amsterdam,” S10 shared on social media. “We collaborated on my album Mijn Haren Ruiken Naar Vuur (My Hair Smells Like Fire), and now we’re getting our first gig together, giving the songs a new twist.”

From Metalcore to Dutch Alternative Pop

Fish, who helped define Bring Me The Horizon’s genre-blending evolution across albums like That's the Spirit and amo, has always thrived in sonic experimentation. His work with S25 is no exception.

Known for her emotionally raw lyrics and atmospheric production — often touching on mental health and identity — S25’s latest work has taken on a more cinematic, layered sound. The fingerprints of Fish’s production are evident, bridging the gap between alt-metal edge and European pop sensitivity.

The Story Behind the Name Change

Real name Stien den Hollander, S10 first broke through in the Dutch-language alternative scene, and gained international recognition after representing the Netherlands at Eurovision 2022. With introspective lyrics and bold sonic shifts, she’s often compared to Billie Eilish — but with a distinctly European flair.

For this collaboration, she’s temporarily adopted the name S25. The Noorderlicht show was a one-night-only event where she and Fish reinterpreted songs from their upcoming album live for the first time.

The switch from S10 to S25 wasn’t just a creative flourish. Since her breakthrough, the artist’s stage name has often been playfully compared to Samsung's Galaxy S series. With the launch of the 25th edition, the collaboration was too fitting to ignore. Gerben van Walt Meijer, Marketing Director of Samsung, explained:

“Just like S25, we at Samsung strongly believe in innovation and reinvention. It’s in our DNA to push boundaries and offer millions of people the opportunity to discover a new world every day. We hope the concert with S25 will inspire everyone to embrace those endless possibilities.”

The event was staged in a whimsical, pink “sky castle” setting — the same imagery featured on the cover of Mijn Haren Ruiken Naar Vuur. Together, S25 and Fish reinterpreted the album’s tracks live, creating an intimate yet high-energy performance that visibly resonated with the crowd.

Why It Matters

For fans of Jordan Fish, this was a rare first look at his creative life after BMTH — one that embraces cross-border, cross-genre experimentation. For S25, it was an opportunity to showcase her artistry to a wider global audience, supported by a production powerhouse that shares her theme of reinvention:

“As a teenager, I was already a fan of Bring Me The Horizon,” S25 reflected. “To be able to make an album with Jordan Fish and perform live is a dream come true. The concert with Samsung was the perfect ending to a creative adventure for me.”

For both Samsung and the artists, the night was more than a product launch — it was a statement about innovation, collaboration, and the thrill of doing something entirely new. We believe that this is a very well-executed S25 promotion.
