Samsungâs next lineup of flagship smartphones with foldable displays is expected to offer three devices: Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Flip 8. So far, there have been several leaks about these phones, with two of them revealing renders of the latter two devices and giving us a look at their design. Now, we have the first set of images showing dummy units of all three models.
On X, Sonny Dickson shared two alleged images of the dummy units or design prototypes of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Flip 8. The first image shows the back of the phones in their unfolded state, while the second shows the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide and Galaxy Z Fold 8 from the front, and the Galaxy Z Flip 8 from the back, when closed. As you can see, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 appear to have the same design we previously saw in their renders. As for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, this is our first look at its design. As expected, it looks much shorter and wider than the Galaxy Z Fold 8, which could give its foldable display the rumored 4:3 aspect ratio similar to Apple's upcoming foldable iPhone.
All three devices also seem to have circular cutouts on the back, which could be for magnets or coils used for magnetic wireless (Qi2) charging. However, these may not be visible on the final production versions, as Samsung could place them inside the phone insteadâsimilar to what we saw with the Galaxy S26âs renders and actual devices.
