Samsung phones were among the first devices to support Gemini, Gemini Live, and Gemini Nano. Almost all recently released Galaxy phones and tablets can now run Gemini Live, and the feature is now improving further by becoming more adaptive and expressive.

Gemini Live will now use native audio output to become more expressive

In August this year, Google debuted Gemini Live improvements on the Pixel 10 series. And those improvements are now rolling out to other Android devices, including Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets. With the help of new model updates (Gemini 2.5 Flash Live API native audio), Gemini Live is now dramatically better at understanding and using key elements of human voice. This makes it a lot more adaptive and expressive.

You can ask Gemini to speak faster or slower when it is responding, that it matches the level you are comfortable with. Gemini can also speak in accents to make things more fun.

For example, Google says you can ask Gemini to use the cowboy accent while discussing dessert ideas for a rodeo-themed birthday party, or use a Cockney British accent to discuss a Sunday roast recipe. You can also ask it to explain to you about the Roman Empire from the perspective of Julius Caesar himself.

These customizations only last during the course of the ongoing conversation. When you close and reopen Gemini, speech customizations are reset. You can go back to the same accent by entering the chat thread in which you made those customizations. This improvement is now available for Android and iOS devices.
