The Gemini app is a key component of the suite of AI-powered features available on Galaxy phones and tablets. It has seen several design and functional improvements since its launch last year. Now, its design is getting a slight update, and you can see it on your Galaxy device.
Google has just launched (via 9To5Google) a new version (16.45) of the Gemini app for Android devices. This version features a slightly improved home page design and a dedicated section for all the images and videos generated by Gemini. Furthermore, suggested actions on the home page now appear in a proper list format, offering a more organized look compared to the previous design where they were grouped in the middle of the screen.

The navigation drawer on the left side of the screen now has a section called My Stuff. It houses all the images and videos generated by Gemini across your conversations. Chats and Gems are listed below My Stuff. The new version of the app uses a true black background instead of gray if the device is using Dark Mode.

The account switcher has disappeared from chat threads and is now available from the New Chat screen.
A previous leak revealed that Samsung would integrate Gemini with some of its stock apps, including Samsung Clock. However, even with this new version, Samsung Clock is nowhere to be found in the Apps section. The integration is still limited to Samsung Calendar, Samsung Notes, and Samsung Reminder. We hope One UI 8.5 brings integration with more stock apps.
