Samsung is expected to launch two book-style foldable phones in July: the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to be the more affordable of the two and feature a wider form factor. Now, the device has appeared in the wild for the first time, revealing its design.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8, which reportedly has a wider form factor than the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, was recently spotted in a restaurant in South Korea. Two blurry photos of the device were posted on an online forum.

In one image, the phone is resting on a table inside a protective case. The second image shows the device in use and reveals its dual-camera rear design.

Although the images are not particularly clear, the phone appears noticeably wider and shorter than previous Galaxy Z Fold series devices. Its proportions also seem to match leaked CAD-based renders that surfaced a few months ago.

The device was previously rumored to launch as the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, but Samsung reportedly decided to rename it to the Galaxy Z Fold 8.

According to earlier reports, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will be priced lower than the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, 12GB of RAM, at least 256GB of storage, and a 4,800mAh battery.

We recently revealed that both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra feature a 200MP primary camera with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and two 10MP front-facing cameras.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is also expected to include an additional 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and a larger 5,000mAh battery.
