Earlier this week, Samsung released the stable version of One UI 8.0 (Android 16) to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. However, the brand had made it available only in its home country, South Korea. Well, the company has now started rolling it out in the US as well.

Currently, Samsung is rolling out the One UI 8 stable update to the carrier-locked variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which have model numbers SM-F956U and SM-F741U. The firmware version of the update for the former is F956USQU2CYI7, and that for the latter is F741USQU2CYI6.

To get the update, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. We will make the One UI 8 stable firmware for the two devices available in our firmware section soon. You can then download it from there and install it manually using Samsung’s Odin tool.

One UI 8 isn’t as big an update as One UI 7, but it still brings many changes. First, it offers a slightly redesigned user interface that not only looks cleaner, more organized, and modern, but is also more convenient to use. Second, it brings new features for accessibility, camera, communication, multitasking, privacy and security, and productivity. You can check out the complete change log here.
