The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is on the list of devices that will receive the One UI 8 update. Samsung also confirmed earlier this month that the One UI 8 beta will be expanded to this device as well.
Signs have emerged that the development of the One UI 8 beta builds for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is chugging along nicely, with a new build now being spotted on Samsung's servers.
As highlighted on X, firmware version F731NKSU5ZYHC, for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has been spotted on Samsung's servers. This is a One UI 8 beta build that was developed in August, showcasing continued development work on the beta firmware for this device.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 joins a long list of devices that Samsung has made eligible for the One UI 8 beta as well. These include the likes of the Galaxy A55, Galaxy A36, and the Galaxy S23 series.
It's unclear as yet when Samsung intends to release the stable version of One UI 8 for these devices, given that they're a bit older now, perhaps they may not be that high up on the list of priority. Samsung has mentioned that the One UI 8 stable version will start rolling out in September.
It's likely going to start with more recent models first, with the Galaxy S25 series likely being the first to receive the stable version.
