In February, a report revealed that Samsung had started developing the Galaxy Tab S12 series, the successor to the Galaxy Tab S11 lineup and the company’s next generation of flagship tablets.
Last month, we learned that Samsung had begun testing firmware for the Ultra variant. Now, it appears the company has also started firmware testing for the Plus model as well.
A firmware file for a device carrying the model number SM-X846B has been spotted on Samsung’s servers (via SammyGuru). According to an earlier leak, this model number belongs to the Galaxy Tab S12+. The firmware version, X846BXXU0AZE5, indicates that Samsung has started testing software for the upcoming tablet.
Apart from that, very little is currently known about the device. Previous leaks suggest that the Galaxy Tab S12+ will feature a 10,392mAh battery, but details regarding its other hardware aspects remain under wraps.
Considering that Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S11 series in September 2025 and typically follows an annual refresh cycle, the Galaxy Tab S12 lineup could debut in September 2026.
