In February, we learned that Samsung had started developing its next flagship tablet lineup, the Galaxy Tab S12 series, which may include two models: the Galaxy Tab S12+ and the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. Now, it appears that the brand has started testing the tablet, or at least begun testing the firmware for one of the devices.
On Samsung’s server, firmware for a tablet with model number X946B has been spotted, carrying version X946BXXU0AZDN (via SammyGuru). According to previous reports, this model corresponds to the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. It suggests that Samsung has begun testing the upcoming tablet. Unfortunately, the leak doesn’t reveal any additional details about the device.
A previous leak claims that the Galaxy Tab S12+ will feature a 10,392mAh battery, which the brand may advertise as a 10,500mAh unit, and that is currently the only known specification for it.
Considering that Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S11 lineup in September 2025 and typically follows a yearly refresh cycle, the Galaxy Tab S12 series could debut in September 2026.
