Samsung has released a software update for one of its entry-level tablets from 2023, the Galaxy Tab A9. It brings the January 2026 security patch, which fixes 55 security issues present in the previous version of the OS.
At the moment, the brand is rolling out the update in South Korea, its home country. It is 265.42MB in size and carries firmware version X110KOO8DZA6, as you can see in the screenshot below (via Samsung Community).

The latest update for the Galaxy Tab A9 makes the tablet more secure than before against various attacks. We expect Samsung to offer it in other regions in the next few days. To check for the update and get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Once Samsung releases the update in other regions, we will make the new firmware available in our database. You can download it from here and install it manually using the brand’s Odin tool. However, we recommend that you stick to the OTA update method as it is safer.
Speaking of software updates for the Galaxy Tab A9, the tablet is eligible to get Samsung’s latest version of One UI for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, One UI 8.5.
It will offer a new user interface that looks cleaner and more modern, and is more customisable, as well as many new features. You can check them out in our video below.
