Samsung is expected to launch its next lineup of non-foldable flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S26 series, in February 2026. Its top-of-the-line model, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, is said to feature the same front and rear camera setups as its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which has been very disappointing for Samsung fans.

A few reports suggested that Samsung could take the same route for the Galaxy S27 Ultra, the top-of-the-line model in the brand's lineup of non-foldable flagship smartphones for 2027, the Galaxy S27 series. With that, it looked like the company was being lazy and focusing on maximising profits. Well, that may not be the case.

On X, a popular tipster, Ice Universe, claims that the Galaxy S27 Ultra will feature new camera sensors for the primary and ultra-wide cameras at the rear, as well as for the selfie camera. However, they say that the phone’s telephoto camera at the rear will be the same as that on its predecessor, the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The tipster points out that this is “early news,” which means that a lot could change between now and the launch of the Galaxy S27 series. So, take the news with a pinch of salt.
