A couple of days ago, Samsung announced its new Android customisation for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, One UI 9.0 (Android 17), along with opening its beta program for the Galaxy S26 series and releasing the first beta version of the new software for the lineup. Now, the brand has released a new update for the devices enrolled in the program.
According to the South Korean tech giant, it is a “hotfix” update. For those of you who don’t know what a hotfix is, it is a small software update that is usually released shortly after a major one to fix a critical issue. According to the update's changelog, it fixes “the issue where mobile data cannot be connected in some carriers.”
At the moment, Samsung is rolling it out in the US. The update is 523.48MB in size and carries firmware version S94xU1UEU2ZZEG (via Tarun Vats). Considering the changelog and the fact that the brand has released it in the US first, we assume that it will be limited to the country. To get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
