Last month, Samsung released the June 2025 security patch to the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Initially, the brand offered it to the Korean variant of the phones and then to the international variants of the three devices.

Now, the South Korean tech giant is rolling out the June 2025 security patch, which fixes many security issues, to the factory-unlocked variants of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra for the United States of America.

The new firmware carries version S90xU1UES8FYF2. At the moment, it is live for devices running on many networks, including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Cellular South, Cricket Comcast, DISH, MetroPCS, Nextech, T-Mobile Tracfone, US Cellular, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile.

Android 16 (One UI 8) update may come soon to Galaxy S22

If you have a carrier-locked variant of the Galaxy S22, you can get the update by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install or by downloading the firmware from our firmware section and installing it manually on your device using Samsung’s Odin tool.

The Galaxy S22 is eligible to get Samsung’s Android 16-based One UI 8.0. Currently, the brand is testing it on the Galaxy S25, and the company is expected to debut its stable version with the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE.
