Samsung confirmed months ago that the Galaxy Buds 3 series will get Gemini integration through a future firmware update. Specifics were missing at that time, but Samsung clarified its plans today. Its latest earbuds integrate with Gemini through One UI 8.
Gemini isn't available directly on the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro. The earbuds don't have that kind of built-in memory and firmware. However, with One UI 8, the wireless earbuds offer deeper integration with Gemini on connected smartphones and tablets.
The feature is now available for the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro when connected to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. The latest foldable phones already run One UI 8, and more devices will receive the update soon.
If you use one of the latest Samsung foldables and are missing Gemini integration with your earbuds, ensure your Galaxy Buds 3 run the latest firmware. You can check for new Buds firmware through the Galaxy Wearable mobile app.

With this update, Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro users with access to a Galaxy phone or tablet running One UI 8 can interact with Gemini through their Galaxy Buds by summoning the assistant via voice or touch controls — by long-pressing one of the earbuds.
Today, Samsung confirmed the expansion of the One UI 8 beta to more devices. The company also provided a rough timeline for the official public rollout.
Beyond the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, other phones will start getting the public One UI 8 update in September.
In other words, more Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro users will have access to Gemini in their earbuds starting next month.
