Samsung offered the stable version of One UI 8.5 for Galaxy smartphones first to new and high-end models and gradually started rolling it out to older and mid-range/entry-level models. Now, the brand has released the update for one of its three most affordable phones eligible to get the new software, the Galaxy A06 5G.

From what we could gather, one of the first countries where the brand has made the update available is India. It carries firmware version A066BXXU6CZE6 (via Mohammed Khatri). The company may release it in other regions soon. To check its availability and get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

One UI 8.5 brings many visual changes and new features. As for the redesigned user interface, you get transparent blue effects and floating elements, among other things. While looks are subjective, the majority of people think that the changes make it look more sophisticated.

Coming to the latter, you get support for Apple AirDrop, partial screen recording capability, improved battery management, new filters in the camera, direct voicemail, pollen index information in the Weather app, a more customisable Quick Panel, and a smarter Bixby.
