Samsung has released three One UI 8.5 beta updates for the Galaxy S25 series so far, and the fourth beta could arrive as early as this week. It is expected to focus on bug fixes and reliability improvements, bringing the software closer to a stable release.
We recently reported that the One UI 8.5 Beta 4 update could be released for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra on January 19 or 20. If you own any of these devices, live in a country where the One UI 8.5 Beta Program is available, and have enrolled your phone in the program, you should be prepared for a new update.
The update is expected to fix several bugs that users have reported since the third beta was released two weeks ago. It may also include a newer kernel version, which could lead to improved smoothness, better overall performance, and enhanced security.
After releasing the fourth beta, Samsung could roll out two or three more beta updates. The stable update could be released around the same time the Galaxy S26 series goes official. Samsung’s next-generation flagship lineup is expected to be announced in the last week of February 2026, with availability beginning in the first or second week of March.
The Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra will be the world's first phones to run One UI 8.5 out of the box. They are also expected to have additional features that will not be available on the Galaxy S25 series or other existing devices via software updates.
