Samsung is going to debut the stable version of Android 16-based One UI 8.0, which brings many new features, with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event later today. Soon after that, the brand is expected to start rolling it out to the eligible devices. One of them is the Galaxy A54, and it looks like the company has started testing it for the phone.

Tarun Vats reports that on Samsung’s server, he has spotted a firmware with One UI 8 for the European variant of the Galaxy A54 5G, which has the model number SM-A546B, suggesting that the South Korean tech giant has started testing the new OS for the smartphone and that it may arrive soon. As you can see in the image below, it carries firmware version A546BXXUEEYG5.

Usually, Samsung offers a new version of Android and One UI to new and high-end devices first and to older and and more affordable models later. Considering that, we think the brand may not roll out Android 16 (One UI 8) to the Galaxy A54 5G in the initial phase.

However, considering that the company has started testing it, we think it may also not delay the release too much, like it did with One UI 7. To get notified when Samsung releases One UI 8 to the Galaxy A54 5G, follow our channel on Telegram or WhatsApp.
