Samsung recently announced the One UI 9 beta program, and the company has now released the first One UI 9 beta update for the Galaxy S26 series. Samsung could roll out additional beta updates for all three phones in the lineup over the coming weeks.

Galaxy S26 gets first One UI 9 update in Germany, UK, USA, and Korea

The first One UI 9.0 beta update, based on Android 17, is now available for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra in Germany, the UK, and the USA with firmware version S94xBXXU2ZZEF and a download size of over 3.6GB. It also brings the May 2026 security patch.

In South Korea, the update comes bearing firmware version S94xNKSU2ZZEF. It could be released in more supported countries soon.

The update introduces a more customizable Quick Panel, new features for Samsung Notes, and improved privacy and security options. It also brings several new accessibility features. You can read more about all the new features here.

If you live in a country where One UI 9 beta program is available and have registered your Galaxy S26 to beta-test the new software, you can check for the update by heading to Settings > Software update and tapping Check for updates.

If the update is available, it will begin downloading automatically. Once the download is complete, tap the Install now button. Your phone will then restart after a few minutes. Since this is the beta version of One UI 9, it could be filled with bugs and performance issues, so we advise not to install it on a phone that is critical for your day-to-day usage.
