Recently, Microsoft expanded Xbox Cloud Gaming to more countries. It enabled Samsung TV users in those regions to enjoy console games featuring high-quality graphics without buying a gaming console. If you are among the ones playing games on your Samsung TV over Xbox Cloud Gaming, there’s a possibility that you may not be enjoying games at the best graphics quality available.
Xbox Cloud Gaming can be accessed by subscribing to Xbox Game Pass. While its Essential tier can stream games at up to Full HD (1080p) resolution, the Ultimate tier can stream games at up to QHD (1,440p) resolution. However, it doesn’t mean that the service is streaming games at those resolutions. It could be streaming games at a resolution as low as 720p, and here’s how to fix it.
In the Xbox app, the game streaming resolution is set to Auto by default. Based on multiple factors, including network speed, it automatically sets the resolution, which could range from 720p to 1440p. Fortunately, you can manually select a (higher) resolution. Here’s how you can do that.

Below is the amount of data each of the resolution and graphics quality options uses per hour (as stated by Microsoft).
While selecting an option, make sure that you have an internet connection that is fast enough to support it, to experience stutter-free gameplay.
