Thinking about picking up a new Samsung device? You’re not the only one. Samsung, as usual, has different options on offer, like the sleek and ultra-thin Galaxy S25 Edge and the top-of-the-line Galaxy S25 Ultra. There are also the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, but is June the right month to buy one of those?
It's not. Because Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event is just around the corner, and the company is just a few weeks away from unveiling several new foldables, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. Samsung will also launch new smartwatch models.
Not interested in the upcoming devices? You should still wait if you want a foldable. Every time Samsung unveils a new device, the existing one gets discounted, and rather heavily in some markets.
While the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 will bring various upgrades and improvements, we expect the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 to get some tempting price cuts soon, which will make them much better value for devices sporting last year's hardware. The same will be true for the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra.
Waiting a few weeks will mean that you either get a better model or save money on the current one, so this is not the right time to open your wallet. Unless foldables and/or smartwatches aren't your jam and you're eyeing the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25 Edge, or something like the Galaxy Ring.
Those devices will not be replaced any time soon or discounted heavily in the near future, so they aren't considered risky purchases right now. But if you want a foldable Galaxy smartphone or a Samsung smartwatch, you may want to try and be patient for just a tad longer.

Bang for buck or the latest tech: June is not when you get those
