Upgrading your phone from a lower tier to a higher one can be costly, and since we live in the real world where money matters, a performance upgrade isn't always possible or easy to recommend. However, opportunities can crop up, and I think Black Friday is one of the best times to upgrade, at least in some markets.
If you've been hoping to upgrade your phone to a higher-tier model and you're waiting for the Galaxy A (2026) series to launch, I'd reconsider. Assuming you can spend on a device now, I'd look for ongoing Black Friday deals instead.
At a glance, I found a few deals that will most likely offer greater value for money than waiting for the 2026 A series. Some Black Friday deals deliver significant performance and feature upgrades for your money.
Here are some of my favorite examples, particularly if you don't aim for a premium flagship but your goal is to jump from a lower to a mid or higher tier.
In some cases, these Black Friday deals can stack with other offers (such as enhanced trade-ins and PayPal discounts in the UK) for even lower prices.
In my eyes, the Galaxy S25 FE for that little money is probably one of the best offers you can get anywhere, particularly if you're a Galaxy A5x user and wish you'd have access to more high-end features, better performance, and Galaxy AI tools.
And if you are a Galaxy A0x, A1x, or A2x owner, buying the Galaxy A56 for a lot less right now can be a better deal than waiting for the A37 to go on sale next year at around the same price. The Galaxy A56 already offers smooth performance and two-day battery life.
All in all, as long as you can spend on a phone right now without stretching your budget too much, I would highly recommend at least checking out Samsung's e-shop before the end of the month. Some Black Friday deals offer really good value, and you likely won't get the same upgrades for your cash if you wait for the Galaxy A (2026) series to drop.

My favorite Black Friday Samsung offers under $500/€500
