Only select high-end Galaxy phones and tablets feature Galaxy AI. Writing Assist is one of Galaxy AI's most useful features, and it offers grammatical corrections and writing improvement suggestions. Those who don't have a Samsung phone with Galaxy AI can use WhatsApp's upcoming Writing Help feature instead.

WhatsApp to get built-in AI Writing Help feature

WhatsApp has announced a new feature called Writing Help. It is coming soon to Android and iOS smartphones, which means it is coming to Galaxy phones as well. As its name suggests, it offers grammar corrections and language flow suggestions, and it adds polish to your messages and replies. WhatsApp says it offers three writing styles: professional, funny, and supportive.

Writing Help can be accessed in any 1:1 chat or group chat by clicking the new pencil icon beside the emoji icon. Currently, this feature is available in the US and several other countries for English users. It could be expanded to support more languages in later this year.

Getting writing help within WhatsApp could be of great help, as instant messaging is where most smartphone users type the most. Getting writing help inside the app helps people, as they don't need to switch to a different app.

If you are worried about the privacy of your text, WhatsApp says you don't have to worry, as Writing Help uses Meta's Private Processing technology that generates a response “without Meta or WhatsApp ever reading your messages or the suggested re-writes.
