Samsung unveiled its first tri-folding smartphone, the Galaxy Z TriFold, on December 2. And while the device is getting a very limited release for now, Samsung isn’t holding back on the hype. To that end, the company has published an official unboxing video for the TriFold.

As you’d expect, the video highlights both the phone and everything that comes in the box. And this box is a bit special, packed with more extras than you get with any other Samsung phone, which makes sense for something this premium and priced at around $2,500 in Korea.

A closer look at what you get with the TriFold

In the video, Samsung starts by showing off the TriFold’s main attraction: its large 10-inch foldable display, which bends in two places and folds down into a regular 6.5-inch phone. The company also highlights how slim the device is when fully opened — it's just 3.9mm at its thinnest point (more about the thickness here).

Samsung also mentions that the cover display comes with an anti-reflective coating. The only other Samsung phones with anti-reflective displays are the Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S25 Ultra, though those use Corning's anti-reflective Gorilla Armor glass instead of a traditional film, so they are probably more durable and clearer.

Samsung then moves on to what’s inside the box. Along with the phone, you get a 45W super fast charger and the Carbon Shield Case. The video also demonstrates some of the software features built for the TriFold’s unique form factor, like being able to use three apps side by side in portrait mode and running Samsung DeX directly on the device, something previously limited to Galaxy tablets.

Samsung also gives a quick look at the Carbon Standing Case. It includes a slim kickstand for hands-free media viewing. Impressively, it adds almost no extra thickness to the phone. Unfortunately, this case is sold separately.

The Galaxy Z TriFold goes on sale in Korea on December 12. It will roll out to China, Taiwan, Singapore, and the UAE later this month, and a US launch is planned for the first quarter of 2026.
