While major One UI updates usually start rolling out late in the year and often spill over into the next, the exact opposite is true for One UI 8.0 (Android 16). November has barely begun, yet Samsung has already released the update for most eligible devices, including several budget models.

Today, two ultra-affordable Galaxy phones—the M05 and F05—are joining the fray. Both devices are getting the update in India, which remains the primary target market for Samsung's Galaxy M and F lineups. The Galaxy M05’s update carries firmware version M055FXXU5CYJ4, while the Galaxy F05’s update is identified by E055FXXU5CYJ4.

As always, you can download the update by heading to Settings > Software update and tapping Download and install. If it doesn’t appear right away, don’t worry. These updates are released in batches, so it may take a few days before it shows up on all units. Your phone will automatically notify you once the update becomes available.

Wondering what the update brings to your phone? We have you covered: find out everything you need to know about One UI 8 here so you can start taking advantage of the new features (keep in mind that some features may not be available on all devices).
