Do you remember last month when the Galaxy A52 5G was officially removed from Samsung's list of supported devices? Well, the 4G version is now following in the 5G model's footsteps.

Samsung has officially ended support for the Galaxy A52 (4G/LTE). This iconic device has enjoyed three big OS upgrades and four years of security patches since it made its debut in March 2021. Now it's time to say goodbye.

The Galaxy A52 will no longer receive any firmware updates unless Samsung deems it absolutely critical. Officially, the Galaxy A52 is out of the picture (via GalaxyClub).

One of the most iconic Samsung phones

It's a sad day for Galaxy A52 owners, and needless to say, this particular Samsung phone has earned numerous hardcore fans. The Galaxy A52 is considered one of the best A-series phones of all time.

The only model standing now is the Galaxy A52s, which went on sale in September 2021. Samsung continues to support this phone, at least for the time being. It, too, will reach end-of-life this year, in September or October.

Fortunately, if you have been holding onto your 2021 mid-range hero and are considering an upgrade, you have plenty of options. The latest Galaxy A56 (and even older models) is really good. Even modern Galaxy A3x phones offer a better experience than the aging A56.

Apart from lacking a 3.5mm headphone jack and expandable storage, the Galaxy A56 is undeniably a vastly superior phone to the Galaxy A52 and A52s, not only in terms of hardware but also build quality, software, and prolonged support.
