Samsung offers a wide range of products and services in many countries around the world, and is a leading brand in most of the segments that it operates in. Owing to that, it is one of the biggest companies by market capitalisation and one of the most well-known brands around the globe. As such, Interbrand has been ranking the South Korean tech giant as the fifth best brand globally for the last five years. Well, that’s the case this year as well.
Interbrand has given Samsung the fifth place in its Best Global Brands 2025 list. With that, Samsung has retained the fifth position on the chart for the sixth consecutive year. According to the firm, the South Korean tech giant has a $90 billion brand value. In the first, second, third, and fourth places are Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, and Google with brand values of $470.9 billion, $388.5 billion, $319.9 billion, and $317.1 billion, respectively.
Commenting on the latest achievement, Samsung’s President and Head of Global Marketing Office, Won-Jin Lee, said, “Through AI innovation and open collaboration, Samsung has worked to ensure that more customers can experience AI in their daily lives. Moving forward, we will continue to focus on benefits for customers, including in health and safety, so that Samsung can grow into an even more beloved brand.”
Compared to the top four companies on the chart, Samsung is way behind. To gain even a single position on the chart, the tech giant will have to work very hard. Recently, Samsung closed a massive deal with Tesla to make 2nm chips for the latter’s future cars. Reportedly, it will also supply Nvidia with HBM3E memory chips for the latter’s AI accelerators. With these achievements, 2025 seems to be a good year for Samsung.
