Samsung is expected to bring two new features to Samsung Wallet in the USA. One of those features was announced by the company earlier this month but hasn't been released yet for all users. Those features are:

    • Installment Payments
    • Send Money

Samsung Wallet to get Installment Payments (BNPL) and Send Money features

Tipster @theordysm found that the latest version of the Samsung Wallet app has references to two new features: Installment Payments and Send Money. These features aren't live for everyone yet and are being tested internally and for some beta testers. They will be released in the USA in the coming weeks.

As you can see in the leaked screenshots above, the Installment Payments feature lets you pay for things via weekly installments. You can activate installments for anything that you purchase and pay via Samsung Wallet. This feature is typically called Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) and is being widely used in the USA. It is also available on Apple Pay.

The second feature, Send Money, lets you send or receive money directly from other Samsung Wallet users. You just need to tap the back of the phone of the person whom you are sending money to or receiving the money from. You can also tap the debit card or directly send money online.

A couple of years ago, Samsung merged Samsung Pass and Samsung Pay into a single app called Samsung Wallet. It lets you pay for purchases and store things like digital car and lock keys, flight boarding passes, gift cards, government-approved identity cards (like driving license), loyaly cards, tickets, and travel passes.

You can share things like digital car keys and smart lock keys with other Samsung Wallet users. The app can also save your login information (username and password) for websites and apps. This app is available for Galaxy smartphones and smartwatches.
