Samsung has unveiled its new Crystal UHD TV with Google Cast compatibility. However, there is a catch. This TV isn't meant for general consumers. Instead, it is designed for hotels and comes in six sizes. Google Cast is also being rolled out to some existing TVs meant for the hospitality business.

Samsung's Crystal UHD TV HU8000F has Google Cast connectivity

The Crystal UHD TV HU8000F series will be launched soon. It will be displayed at the HITEC 2025 expo that will take place from June 16 to 19 in Indianapolis, USA. This TV comes in six sizes: 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch, and 85-inch. It features a 4K VA LCD panel with direct backlight, HDR10, HDR10+, a 60Hz refresh rate, AI-powered 4K upscaling, and 20W stereo speakers. It has Adaptive Sound, Object Tracking Sound Lite, Q-Symphony,

It features Crystal Processor 4K and runs Tizen OS 9.0 with One UI. Samsung will offer seven generations of OS updates to this TV. It has Samsung TV Plus for plenty of free video streaming. More importantly, it features Google Cast for screen mirroring and video streaming using apps on Android or iOS phone. The TV has AirPlay 2, Alexa, Bixby, and Google Assistant.

Samsung says over 5,000 apps support Google Cast. However, since general consumers won't be able to buy this TV, they can't use Google Cast on Samsung TVs. This TV is limited for the hospitality business, such as hotels, resorts, and restaurants. The arrival of Google Cast on Samsung's hospitality TV lineup was announced earlier this year. Ideally, Samsung should bring Google Cast to its consumer TVs as well.

The South Korean firm is updating its existing hospitality series TV, the HBU8000, to support Google Cast without interrupting the service. The company has already released the update in Indonesia at The Apurva Kempinski Bali and Swissôtel Living Jakarta Mega Kuningan.

This TV features Samsung LYNK Cloud and SmartThings Pro for centralized remote management. Hotels can even display targeted promotions to improve their revenue. Samsung Knox offers defense-grade security to the TV. It also features AI Energy Mode that helps hotels save electricity. It has three HDMI ports (one with eARC), one USB 2.0 Type-A port, one 1Gbps Ethernet port, and one RF port.

Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of Samsung's Visual Display (VD) Business, said, “Samsung’s HU8000F Hospitality TV series delivers a new level of in-room experience, combining brilliant 4K picture, advanced streaming and easy management. With Google Cast support, an AirSlim design and integrated cloud capabilities, we are redefining what’s possible for hotel entertainment worldwide.
